I . . . uh . . . I just don't have the words . . .
I've seen those pics before other places, and some contenders up close at the local store but, just when you think you have seen it all then something comes along to top it. Amazing.
Well, it was an accident on his part. It seems that he put it in the signature creator deal in Outlook and set it up as his default signature. He says he erased on the email it before he hit send but Outlook apparently re-inserted it. He sent another apology and it seems to have calmed down to a...
I think I have located the relevant part in the Laws of the Grand Lodge of Texas:
Title V, Chapter 2, Art. 505, 3 & 5
The Reader's Digest Version is that you cannot use the words "Masonic", "Mason" or "Masonry" or the faith and credit of Masonry, to display Masonic emblems, for a secular...
The brother in question understands that. The e-mail with the signature line got out by accident and he has apologized for it. But, the whole set of circumstances raised the question as to whether or not there was masonic law governing the use of the square and compasses in personal communication.

One minute I read that to be a Templar Knight one must profess a belief in the Christian Religion. I suppose that pretty well means you have to be a Christian. Then I read that you must sign a declaration that he acknowledges the Doctrine of the Holy and Undivided Trinity. You can be Jewish...
GREAT! Let's vote! . . .
Blake or anyone, do you know if the individual York Rite Commanderies in Texas have that option of the mantles or are the black suits and feathers mandatory?
I too think the mantles look better and if Texas were to adopt the approach that apparently is in effect in...
Well, for me personally, I find that approach interesting and very attractive. Especially in the economic times we face now. When you look back at this whole thread, many have referred to the expenses involved in joining a Commandery. Others have referred to the drills. Several comments...
OK, I will admit it. While I see the best route is not to engage, something about being glad that I am a Mason conflicts with it. I do like the reminder and reference to another brother response.
Dr. Parker Paul McKenzie - - A Kiowa Indian, he created an alphabet and recorded the words, grammar and syntax to provide a written language for Kiowa. At the time of his death in 1999, he was the oldest living Kiowa, and a Mason
