I'm a FC a month and a half away from being Raised, and I truly appreciate not being allowed to wear Light until that time.
Nothing given is appreciated in the same way as if you had earned it.
I am certainly one of them. The lodge where I am a FC at is rather social in nature, and likely not willing to hear about the educational, let alone the esoteric, aspects of Masonry. I don't think it will be that way for a very long time, if ever.
It is high on ladder of possibilities that my...
The Illuminati being associated with the Freemasons is something I hear a whole lot about from patients, almost on a daily basis.
Because of that only two people in the whole clinic are aware that I am a Mason. I don't want them to feel a certain way about me.
Welcome, Brother!
Only having been a Mason since 15th October this year, it is absolutely, without words, priceless, out of this world, meaningful, beautiful, and on I could go. Sorry for the grammar.
The experiences I have had already leave me speechless.
Enjoy your journey, Brother.
Congratulations, Brother! :). So wonderful to hear!
I *just* started my Fellowcraft journey last week, of which is turning out to be *chock full* of material to digest.
Have a great time Friday evening.
I'll be thinking of you.

Many thanks to Brother Robert Johnson of the Whence Came You? Freemasonic Podcast.

That is really great to hear, Brother FC! Congratulations!

Re: Taking the next step. Fellowcraft Degree toni
Thanks for the kind words, Bro. Darren.
Reporting that all went well last evening, with just a couple hiccups in returning the proficiency. I knew them as soon as I made them, and winced when I did.
The Second Degree was amazing -- had a...
Hi Brethren,
Hope everything's well for all of you.
Tonight I'll be taking the next step in my journey. One other Brother and I will be standing proficiency in the First Degree, and if found proficient take the Second Degree of Fellowcraft.
Wish me luck in riding that goat again.

As the youngest Entered Apprentice at Jephthah Lodge No. 222, A.F.&A.M. in Essex, MD, I can vouch for that sentiment as well. I came to Masonry seeking Light, as the Brotherhood was more or less dropped in my lap at a very important time in my life. Like Browncoat it is more about the Masonic...

Sounds like it'll be a goat to me. I got the goat on my first night, and quite readily jumped on in anticipation of the Sun God looking favorably down on me.

As a newly minted Mason of only two weeks, my motivation was that after many years of seeing such tremendous gentlemen in my community, I wanted to be a part of that.
It took me about 6 years to finally petition, but here I am.
