2006 VRSCR Street Rod. I like all types of bikes, and work for a dealership, but my V-rod fits my riding style.
What are you riding? Nearly every officer in our lodge rides. Pretty cool. Had 12 bikes or more there last night.
I agree completely choppersteve03, I carry 'till I'm in bed, then it goes into crossbreed bed-mount holster. Lodge is the one place where I don't carry, and am able to let down my guard. If some crazy busts in shooting up the place, well, slidin' out the backdoor becomes the only option.
I was excited and almost purchased an e-reader when they first came out, and may still. I like the feel of a book. I like it dog-eared and "sticky-noted" on my bookshelf. I like to hop up mid discussion, and flip right to a page that completes my thoughts better than my own words can. I like...
Not to thread-jack or anything, but does anyone know what the brazos valley masonic library and museum is? I used to drive by it when at A&M all the time. The website just shows a pic and the hours. It is only open about 3 hours a day 3 times a week.

In my Lodge we all turn our pistols over to the secretary to lock up in the office before the meeting starts. Our lodge is downtown, no longer the nicest part of our fair city, and nobody wants to leave them in our cars or motorcycles. Looks like a military armory before big meetings! Nobody...
I turn in tomorrow, and if all goes well, I will be raised Thursday night. Since I work for Harley-Davidson, my brothers are making it Bike Night.
Ohhh, I am a bit excited! Finally!
In addition to helping travelling Brothers, seeing a lodge sign every time one drives in and out of town might remind a future brother what is waiting for him. Kind of a mini-billboard without overtly advertising.
Of course it it time to be alarmed! However, it should be a call to arms for Brother Masons to get in gear and work harder! Make Masonry more visible in their communities, wear their jewelry, be proud, and answer questions when asked and refer good men in the right direction. You can't make...
It would be nice to see more of those. I wonder why they are becoming so rare? I do see them, but not often. On the way back to our little cabins in Gruene, I saw a road sign for a lodge, most likely New Braunfels. I was concentrating on not hitting any deer, so I didn't see if meeting times...
I posted what attracted me to Masonry. I will talk to some of the even younger brothers in our lodge to see what really brought them in. I strongly feel it can be turned around without such drastic measures as one day journeys. However, my lodge is in good shape, so it is a bit easier for me...
I hate to hear that, and I know this has been discussed many times before. My lodge is in a town of less than 100,000 people, and I know we do at least 1 EA a week, and have over 350 members. We have a solid core of every age demographic. I hold nothing against ya'll for having to do this, I...
In Texas, you must petition for advancement. I did this just months ago. I was very active right after my initiation, but due to a promotion, I got too busy at work to practice my memory work. I also have a wife and young twin daughters that keep me busy. My brothers knew what was going on, and...
Another vote for no such thing as too windy! It does, however, curtail my drift fishing for cats when the boat is blowing a solid 10-15 knots across the water!
